Through a common friend, Jorge Goes met the singer José Cid, in 2002, who immediately invited him to record his first album “Contra Corrente” (2001), signed by Upgrade Records record label and distributed by Ovação record label. The album was characterized by a fusion of different music genres and was produced by José Cid.

Several shows based on this album, with the special participation of José Cid, took place afterwards, along with several participations in television and radio shows in Portugal and Spain.

After several performances in casinos, hotels, private, radio and charity parties, in Portugal and abroad, a new album was edited in 2013, “Tempo ao Tempo”, signed by the Numérica record label. This was an album of original songs, most of them written by the singer, to which he joined themes by André Sarbib, Paulo de Carvalho, Ivan Lins and Claudio Ribeiro.

The album was produced by André Sarbib and Cláudio Cesar Ribeiro. Jorge Goes took on the role of singer songwriter in this project.

Through his entrepreneur’s soul, Jorge Goes created the ArtJazz Festival of Elvas, in 2013, taking on its production and artistic direction ever since.

2017 was the year of the recording of his third album, “Fado novo Fado velho”, going back to his origins, linked to the most iconic Portuguese style, and which de dedicated to his late father, João Goes. The producer of this album was his friend and well-known musician, Carlos Menezes. “Fado Novo Fado velho” was recorded between May and September of the same year, with original songs by Jorge Goes as well as traditional and other popular Fado songs. The album was presented in Lisbon on the 3rd of March 2018, in Casa Alentejo and promoted through numerous concerts in theatres and cultural venues, in Portugal and Spain, in 2018/19.
